There are two paths to choose when you enroll in Parts A & B of Medicare - either private health insurance with a Medicare supplement plan or Medicare Advantage. Both paths become complete with the addition of a prescription drug plan.
The Taylor Group has nearly 20 years experience with Medicare-related health insurance and we've worked with over 40 insurance companies in that time. Over the years we've chosen companies that have consistently rated highly with our clients in financial stability, quality claims processing, and outstanding customer service while remaining competitively priced.
When To Enroll
There are four opportunities to enroll in a Medicare-related plan:
1) During your initial Open Enrollment period - 3 months before and after your 65th birthday.
2) During a scheduled or special enrollment period, such as qualifying for Social Security Disability, loss of other coverage, etc.
3) During your birthday month guaranteed issue period under the Oregon Birthday Rule when you can keep your current plan letter and benefits but shop for a lower premium with another company. Or,
4) At any time provided you qualify under underwriting criteria, e.g. you're in good health.
